Ryan Jimmo, Matthew Riddle and Francisco Rivera are UFC 149?s Three Stars
After the preliminary card, UFC 149 seemed to be headed towards classic status. The momentum from exciting performances early in the night would have to carry over to the main card, right? As we soon found out, wrong. Whether it was injury, short notice or "Octagon jitters," most of the pay-per-view had none of the magic from early in the night.
Who were those fighters who stood out? Here are Cagewriter's Three Stars. Tell yours in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.
No. 1 star -- Ryan Jimmo: Two fighters with long careers in other promotions made their UFC debuts at UFC 149. Though Hector Lombard came in a steam-powered locomotive of hype, it was Jimmo who had the memorable fight, knocking out Anthony Perosh in just seven seconds. He tied the UFC record for fastest knockout and won a $65,000 Knockout of the Night bonus.
No. 2 star -- Matthew Riddle: On less than a month notice, Riddle took out Chris Clements with a third round arm-triangle choke after a thrilling bout to kick off the pay-per-view card. (See? Not the entire PPV was terrible.) He pulled off that win after driving from Texas to Calgary so that his pregnant wife could be with him for the fights. Did I mention they also have twins at home? I'm exhausted on his behalf. Hopefully, the $65,000 Submission of the Night bonus will buy Riddle some rest and relaxation.
No. 3 star -- Francisco Rivera: Coming right after Jimmo's knockout, poor Rivera didn't have a chance at the Knockout of the Night bonus. However, he still delivered with a huge left to send Roland Delorme to the canvas with a first-round knockout.

Infrastructure Networks Rolls Out The First LTE Network For Critical Infrastructure In The Heart of The Permian Basin
Infrastructure Networks has deployed 5 LTE wireless broadband coverage sites in the Permian Basin area of West Texas. These are the first LTE sites to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of Critical Infrastructure entities, and make Infrastructure Networks one of only a handful of companies to operate an LTE network in North America.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 30, 2012
Infrastructure Networks, a Houston, Texas-based provider of broadband wireless networks to Critical Infrastructure Industries, has announced that it recently deployed 5 LTE (Long-Term Evolution) wireless broadband coverage sites in the Permian Basin area of West Texas. These are the first LTE sites to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of Critical Infrastructure entities, and their launch makes Infrastructure Networks one of only a handful of companies, including Verizon, AT&T and Metro PCS, to operate an LTE network in North America.
Traditionally, retail and consumer based providers such as Verizon have not focused their coverage on less populated rural areas. However, those remote areas, such as the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale in Texas and the Bakken Shale in North Dakota, are often home to a heavy concentration of Critical Infrastructure operations. This lack of adequate coverage has created a window of opportunity which has motivated Infrastructure Networks? initial efforts.
Phillip Liddell, Infrastructure Networks? Vice President of Engineering, personally oversaw the implementation of the network. "We are very pleased with the network test results to date." stated Liddell. "The propagation characteristics of the 700MHz spectrum are outstanding and support our ability to rapidly deploy a high quality LTE network in West Texas, as well as other areas of Texas and North Dakota where we have 700MHz spectrum holdings."
"We are extremely proud to be rolling out this network, which will be the foundation of a first of its kind service anywhere." added Infrastructure Networks CEO Stan Hughey. ?We formed this company specifically to service the needs of Critical Infrastructure entities, and are excited to be at the very forefront of providing high bandwidth, low latency, secure solutions that can be rapidly integrated into our customers existing communications infrastructure."
Infrastructure Networks Executive Vice-President Kori Kalich-Ugalde is coordinating testing and demonstrations with several company partners over the next month, and expects full scale provisioning of services to begin shortly thereafter.
"While we continue to demonstrate our new capabilities in the Permian Basin, we are also accelerating the expansion
and upgrade of our existing network coverage in the Texas panhandle." she stated.
Founded in March of 2011, Infrastructure Networks has been expanding network coverage under licensed spectrum holdings that cover more than 150,000 square miles of the Bakken Shale in North Dakota, the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin in Texas and large parts of West Texas, the Texas panhandle, Eastern New Mexico and Kern County, California.

MSI outs new CR41 notebook, hopes you like the color royal bronze
What's rectangular, coated in a royal bronze finish, opens like a clam and lasts for up to seven and a half hours? If you answered MSI's new CR41 notebook, you'd be right (though we would've accepted self-destructing jewelry boxes as an answer). The 14-inch multimedia "mobile companion," announced just today, packs a 1,366 x 768 HD display, dedicated HM76 graphics chipset, choice of Intel's third-generation Core i processors and comes in a variety of storage configurations: 500 GB, 640GB or 720GB. Weighing in at 5.3 pounds (2.4kg) and measuring 13.8 x 9.2 x 1.3 inches (349.7 x 234.8 x 32mm), the laptop also features a six-cell 4,400mAh battery, support for Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi b/g/n, an optical drive, ports for HDMI, USB 3.0 (x2), USB 2.0 (x2), an SD slot and the requisite headphone jack. So far no official pricing or release dates have been made public for the Windows 7 rig, but when it does hit retailers' shelves, rest assured it'll be upgrade-ready for Redmond's next great OS. Follow on past the break for the official PR.
